Blue tarps protect damaged roofs.
If you can put up a tarp after,
you can put up a net before...

...We Could Have Prevented This

The Hurricane Net protects against Uplift, Impact, overturning, and lateral forces.

If you can install this...

You will love installing
the CAT-5 Hurricane Net tm!

And This...

Engineered:

The CAT-5 Hurricane Netting System ™ was scientifically engineered through months of research and development to withstand Metro Dade and ASTM 1886/1996 Large Missile Impact Testing (final approval pending).

This photo illustrates the large missile canon poised at a prototype net.  The final net passed multiple shots at the same net with minimal deflection.

Why It Works:

The CAT-5 Hurricane Net is reinforced with thousands of fibers per square inch in each direction to provide its individual strength

The net can be cut to size for use 'on the fly'  without loss of strength to surrounding fibers.

Proprietary clamps secure the fabric in a variety of configurations such as the one shown to the left.

The product is purchased in this 'raw' form and joined with proprietary clamps to provide its strength.

A Perfect Score for the prototype Hurricane Net, encapsulating a manufactured home on the tip of Hutchinson Island during a direct hit from 130mph+ winds from Hurricane Jeanne (2004). The patio room was not covered and was destroyed.  This home was only 1 of 3 on the island to sustain no damage to the residence from the storm.

Stores easy for consistent use,
storm after storm...
Tensile:

The Net fabric was tensile tested to over 600lb in a 3" grip with minimal elongation.  It is ASTM D5034-95 tested at 572lbf (min)
(stronger than the toughest patio furniture fabric)

Weight:

wt=only 13.2 oz/square yard (1.46oz/sq ft, 1lb of fabric will cover nearly 11 square feet)

Wind Tunnel Tested:

Another unique feature of the CAT-5 Hurricane Netting System ™  is its ability to 'share' the wind with whatever it's protecting. This device slows down the wind and disrupts vortex forces created around corners and roof edges, breathing acceptable levels of wind to whatever its protecting.

The fabric is approximately 50% closed so 110mph winds will be reduced to sub-hurricane pressures, forces which can be handled by whatever it is protecting, and without the worry of impact, uplift, or overturning.

There is no wind force that could be generated to tear the net material.

Here is a sample of some of the MANY uses for the Hurricane Net. Its uses are limited to your imagination and what you need to protect...

The Hurricane Net can cover just a window or opening, continue over the roof, secure to the foundation, tie beam, roof trusses, or completely cover manufactured homes, storage sheds, signs, boats on trailers, planes, etc.

A 72" wide net is illustrated in these photos of a prototype installation shown for illustrative purposes only (approved large missile impact installation differs from this installation).

Clamps, hooks and straps allow instant, reusable, and incredibly strong connections in a variety of configurations

The system has been lab tested and refined in over 9 testing and R & D sessions since 2004. This photo was the first pass of the large missile impact hit – a 9lb 2 X 4 shot out of a cannon at 50ft/second 3 times at the net, one center and 2 corner hits. Not a single tear!!!
